Music moves us to write like never before. Today, we will write a story while the above song is playing. Once the song stops, you stop writing. (It’s okay to finish the sentence you’re on at the end of the song).

Let your heart go deep. Find the story you never thought possible. When you’re done, congratulate yourself. Why? Because you have dug deep and found a deeper story, and that my friend, is always powerful. Share your story if you like. Here’s mine:

Across the way, through the window, I see her fall. The bed catches her in its soft embrace. After a few minutes, she appears at the window. Through the lens, I see her wipe tears from her eyes. She’s missing him. She hangs her head and weeps uncontrollably. I lower the binoculars to give her the privacy she deserves.

 Even after six years, she still cries for him. I miss him too: never will I hear my son’s laugh, or forget his screams, ‘Daddy, daddy, help me!’ as the train dragged him and my marriage down the track.

Whoa!
